Youth Leader and Round table Moderator

 
Invited as a youth leader to co-moderate a round table to discuss “Universal access to free and good quality education for all” at a bi-annual summit where political leaders and luminaries (including the Dalai Lama, Julia Gillard, Loreno Castillo, Kerry Kennedy, as well as young change-makers from Washington D.C., Peru, Chile, Palestine, Syria) debated measures to promote freedom, safety and education for vulnerable children. Amman, Jordan – “Children on the Move”

The 2018 Laureates and Leaders for Children Summit focused on Children on the Move. The second Summit under the gracious patronage of HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein in Jordan.

21 Nobel Laureates and world leaders, along with leaders from government, academia, business and civil society participated. Laureates and leaders identified challenges and discussed solutions with child and youth representatives. The summit declaration “Will for Children” signed by the participating Laureates and leaders reflected the resolve of the group to become a representative voice for children, to act for the rights of children around the world, to work towards ending violence against children and to support inter-agency and intergovernmental cooperation, child friendly business practices and adequate financing for these initiatives. At the culmination of the summit, Nobel Laureates and world leaders marched with more than 6000 youth, launching the 100 Million campaign, history’s largest youth-led mobilization to ensure that every child was free, safe and educated, thereby globalizing compassion.

New Delhi, India – “Children’s right to education”

The first Laureates and Leaders for Children Summit was hosted by the President of India at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi in December 2016. 21 Nobel Laureates and world leaders, along with leaders from government, academia, business and civil society participated in this event. They identified challenges and discussed solutions with child and youth representatives. he motto was to build a strong and stable moral platform for a child-friendly world by globalising compassion for ending human trafficking, especially its worst forms like sexual exploitation and slavery everywhere. The summit declaration “Will for Children” signed by the participating Laureates and leaders reflected the resolve of the group to become a representative voice for children. At the culmination of the summit, Nobel Laureates and world leaders marched with more than 6000 youth, launching the 100 Million campaign. This was the largest youth-led mobilization to ensure that every child was free, safe and educated, thereby globalizing compassion in history.
